Sweet Sixteen

Depending where you grew up, or with which crowd you ran with, these Tiffany’s heart charm bracelet seemed to signal ones’ entrance into adult womanhood. I never saw one until I left my small town for college and learned that there was a whole world of jewelry beyond costume jewels from the thrift store and Claire’s.

Many years later, and still bracelet-less, I decided to reimagine my own version of this iconic piece of jewelry.

In response to the recent Supreme Court ruling overturning Roe v. Wade, 35% of every item purchased in this collection through the Charm Stand webshop will be donated to Abortion Funds, which works with grassroots organizations at the local, regional, and national level to remove financial and logistical barriers to those seeking abortions.
